First introduced in 1988 and produced until 1999, the GMT400 was the foundation for some of the most popular trucks and SUVs of its time, including the Chevrolet C/K Series, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Tahoe, and GMC Yukon. I would just get a LS style 4L60E at a minimum. Personally I would ditch the 60E and get a 4L80E though. You could probably trade off the LS1 for an iron 6.0L too, which would work better for the swap. The truck accessories, intake and exhaust manifolds are an easier swap into a truck. Going 6L look for a k2500 in the yards that was hooked to a 6.0 for the nv4500. For an LQ9 I think you are looking for Escalade or Denali donars.
